Sebastien Skubala is an award-winning actor and singer/songwriter based in Brisbane, Australia. He is best known for his dramatic and comedic roles in numerous films on the international festival circuit.
Sebastien headlined short film Down to Earth which has clocked 500K streams across Dust and Omeleto. In 2023, DTE won Best SA Short Film at Launch Film Festival and Sebastien won Best Actor for his role at the Brisbane Film Projects Short Film Festival. The film originally premiered at CinéfestOZ and screened around the world at the Boston Sci-fi Film Festival, Harrogate UK, and Show Me Shorts New Zealand.
In 2024 Sebastien made his feature film debut in How Quickly Clouds Move, written and directed by Armin Dzafic, produced by Valencia Pictures and Radioactive Pictures.
Sebastien appeared in the comedy short Mating Call by Stephanie Jaclyn which won Best Comedy at the 2024 South Australian Screen Awards and made its world premiere at the 2023 Adelaide Film Festival.
Also in 2024, Sebastien wrapped filming on lead roles in both The Last Warriors, directed by Uther Reed, and the pilot Keep Running Back by Joseph Morrison. Plus support roles in Short Staffed and First Edition, Secondhand, with all projects in post-production.
On the stage Sebastien made his professional debut as Willie Thornhill in the Helpmann Award winning play The Secret River, directed by Neil Armfield as part of the Adelaide Festival.
Sebastien has just completed his Bachelor of Acting from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University.
Sebastien is also a singer/songwriter and in 2023 he released his first EP on Spotify.
